why rats are pest

 Rats are a pest because they can multiply quickly also known as breeding.They eat eggs from nest like kiwi or We ta .They take food from the pantry and make it moldy with crumbs everywhere Rats have preditors that are pest to but its mostly feral cats when rats die there full of germs and a lot  of disease. which is filthy. They eat whatever they want and just have no care.rats can hurt animals and trees. there close to possums and stoats.most rats like unhealthy places like rubbish piles and dumps with a lot of germs.They have rabies that makes them go crazy! a rat will kill a native animal and just not even care.

City rats are pest to they mess around through rubbish on the streets city rats eat garbage its disgusting!!! they will eat pet or human food they come across.what attracks pest to your home is things like wood piles and leaf piles in your backyard.Rats don't like the smell peppermint.A reason why there pest it is because of health risks that can cause disease that come from rats.Rats take food away from a lot of native species that work hard to find there food.Rats can be pest from there germs that makes human very ill and maybe have a low chance to die.Rats should be extinct 

The Amazing Puriri Moth

On Monday we started a google slide  about a native animal from the bush we researched in our writing books . My info is from books and Google. mine is the Puriri Moth I learned incredible things. I made this on my literacy group Slide That my teacher had made for us. Did you know these creatures lay up to 2000 eggs? And the other websites we used to get info was set up sites about 'save the planet'' Or things about Native animal our teacher  used Hapara to set our tabs.

What Good Are Wings Without The Courage To Fly?

On Friday ( Pink shirt day-Anti Bullying day)  We had to wear pink clothes to School  because it was the best day of the year. Pink shirt day!!!!! We painted 4 feathers. with lots of shades of pink there were lots of light shades of pink then brighter  shades of pink and then darker shades of pink. It was fun painting all of those feather's. My teacher had the idea to make them so she could put all of our feather's into big pink wings so we can take photos and look like we have pink wings outside our classroom door.But it was not complete yet.My teacher didn't make it just yet.

Present day Wednesday 26 May This morning when I came to school.  guess what 

I saw when I went to put my bag away.My teacher used all of our feathers to create beautiful pink wings on the door and on Top it said..What Good Are Wings Without The courage To Fly.And I think this means that If you had a talent don't be very  scared to show your talent to other people.

My weekend

 On  Friday afternoon we were just playing on the play ground chilling because Mrs B said we could play for a few minutes until the bell rings.Ring then the bell rang so we went to go get are bags and sit down flourish was gonna pick us up we waited and waited then flourish was there we hopped into the van and when we got to flourish my mum picked me up when we got home we ate are candy and popcorn and enjoyed the movie  a few hours later  I fell asleep and the night went past quickly.In  the morning it was time to call Eva but I just let that wait and slept in for 10 minutes.I woke up and got dressed to write my Christmas letter I asked for slime a ball and a new bag also a  chandelier .

We Left home and mum had to go to mitre 10 for some reason then she went to go get a lawn mower mum said she was hungry so we went to subway for some nice sandwiches I had tomato and cheese when we were done we went to the two dollar shop and I got  some stockings. we were so tired so we went home I called Eva we chatted for a while it was so sunny we talked to each other and we were both outside it became night time and I enjoyed a movie and fell asleep the end.

a friendly letter to Mr and Mrs lovey dovey

Dear Mr and Mrs lovey Dove-y 

my name is Lukah I am 8 years old I wanted to write this because I thought you guys could be better teacher's. How I feel: I feel sad that you flooded the school church and those kids had to climb the beams to survive. Question: how old are you guys 20? 40? 80? 89? also,what country do you live in I live in New Zealand . Are you from ,America,France,or Spain? no offense but you guys should quit working at your school do you guys still even work at your school?because I still go to my school. Is your school Cathlioc mine is.I have always wonder'd what place in your country your from.your's faithfully  Lukah.

end of Term 3 good and not good things

 Things that have been good this year and have not been so good this term first would be persuasive writing I enjoyed it  because it was fun making the posters and the little pretend ads that was really fun the second thing  I enjoyed was the worlds worst children stories when Mrs.B read's  us a story from the book about them they are sometimes a brat or just a weird child and when were done listening to that story we describe them. Third is RE the thing I enjoyed the most in RE was creative prayer because it was fun creating a little  cloud and draw things we wanted to pray for around it .

Now things I did not really enjoy this term was rounding off  because it was kind of difficult for me I did not really understand what she meant because it was really confusing for me so as fractions because they were sort of hard and difficult this year.

Presuasive writing

Dear mum.

Can I have a dream catcher?.

Reason 1 I think I should have one because it can take away my nightmares and it could be a nice decoration to my room.

Reason 2 it would be a nice wall decoration in my room and maybe when i'm older and when I don't need it I can give it to my cousin.

Reason 3 when you buy it I could maybe glue my tiny worry dolls on it like tiny people standing on a dream catcher that would be kinda cute and I would really love a dream catcher.

I hope you understand all the reasons I want one.
